The speech therapist Eva Kösters shares her experiences using Simpleprax

In March 2021, you began using Simpleprax in your practice. What led you to choose Simpleprax for your practice's medical history and data collection?

The practice started advancing in digitalization through many channels, but not in all areas. Since founding the practice, we've been using digital applications in various ways, but not in all. The ability to access and organize patient history digitally is crucial for optimizing processes. Specifically, registration forms, which generate a lot of paperwork at the start of a therapy, have to be handled.

By digitizing the process, we hoped to save time and reduce the burden of managing patient files by eliminating the need to scan and destroy documents.

Was was the experience like transitioning from analog to Simpleprax? How difficult was it to set up and install the software?

We have no centralized registration, so each therapist coordinates his schedule on his own, and therefore installs the application on his own desktop. The installation was simple and did not take very long.

During the test phase, colleagues were then invited to try Simpleprax on new admissions. Half of them used the digital case history, while the other half continued with analog data collection. This allowed us to observe in direct comparison exactly what advantages the digital anamnesis brings. The test phase confirmed our assumption that there was a noticeable time saving and that patient satisfaction had increased.

Can you quantify the time saved?

By using digital anamnesis, a time reduction of 50% could be achieved.

Have you experienced any benefits from using Simpleprax in your daily routines?

On the one hand, we have seen a time saving, especially for our secretary, who previously always had to sort, scan, digitize and finally shred the old files. She can now use her time for other, more important things.

On the other hand, there is a time-saving at the first appointment because the questionnaire is filled out in advance. The file can be created and all documents added before the patient arrives. We then have more time for his concern and the diagnostics.

Furthermore, it eliminates mindless tasks such as digitizing, which no longer has a place in the modern world.

What is your patients' reaction to the new way of filling out documents? In your opinion, what advantages does Simpleprax offer for your patients?

There is a largely positive response from patients. The patient usually contacts us by telephone to schedule their appointment, and during this call, we ask them if we can send them the forms electronically by email in advance. Most patients appreciate the convenience of the online forms and are highly satisfied.

When using Simpleprax for your daily practice, which factors have improved the most?

Simpleprax minimizes the administrative and organizational tasks associated with therapy. Therapists have fewer administrative and organizational tasks to complete.
